Summer Day Camp Information

Ages 6 – 12. June 11th – August 24th

If it’s SUMMER, it’s YMCA Day Camp! Camp begins the first Monday after school gets out and ends Friday, August 24th. Each week brings a different theme and a field trip adventure. Kids play camp games as well as programs just for their gender and age.

Daily Activities

Our campers will experience a great summer filled with fun learning experiences, friends, and value based guidance. Daily activities will include:

  • Swimming
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Archery
  • Field Trips
  • Games
  • Songs and Skits
  • Learning about Nature
  • Sports Activities
  • Special Outdoor Activities

All your little camper needs to bring is an afternoon snack, swim suit, and towel. Space is limited, sign up today!

Two Locations

  • At the YMCA (Drop off, pick up at Bay Café)
  • Gladstone (Drop off, pick up at Jones School Gymnasium).  This camp will utilize the Jones School Gymnasium and Van Cleve Park.

Free Lunch except Thursdays

During weeks 2-10, our campers receive FREE lunch except for Thursdays through the Escanaba School’s “Meet Up & Eat Up” summer lunch program.

On Thursdays, campers must pack their own lunch.

Registration & Costs

$98 for YMCA Members
$129.00 for Non-Members
Second child is 20 percent off
Pre-Camp: 7:50-9:00am (no charge)
Post Camp: 4:30-5:30pm (no charge)

IMPORTANT – Partial week enrollments are NOT offered.

Limited Enrollment.  To ensure that each camper receives the highest quality experience possible, we must limit enrollment for each session. A $20 deposit will hold your child’s registration for the week you wish to attend. Final registration will require payment in full and completion of required forms the Friday before registered session. A parent packet is available at our front desk.

Financial Assistance: No one is turned away from the YMCA. If you would like your child to attend our camp and the fees are a problem, ask about our Strong Kids scholarship assistance program. Fees can be adjusted according to your income. Applications are available at the YMCA front desk.
