2022 Annual Campaign kicks off

IRON MOUNTAIN – Northern Lights YMCA’s 2022 Annual Campaign is underway.
The Dickinson Center has set a goal of $85,000 for this year’s campaign.
The Annual Campaign supplies funding so that all in the Dickinson County and surrounding communities have affordable access to YMCA membership, programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
“Every year, the YMCA provides tens of thousands of dollars in assistance to families toward YMCA programming and membership,” NLYMCA Executive Director Jonathan Ringel said. “This is only accomplished thanks to the generosity of our Annual Campaign donors, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their continued support.”
Nearly three dozen community members have volunteered to campaign this year, and they will work throughout the next few months to help the YMCA achieve its goal. The YMCA typically collects donations from more than 400 individuals and businesses.
“There is so much support in our community for the YMCA and what we do,” Ringel said. “We’re very fortunate here for that commitment to the Y, and we look forward to continue to answer critical needs in our area.”
Money collected for the Annual Campaign directly supports the Dickinson Center in areas such as swim lessons, summer day camp, senior wellness programming, homelessness initiatives, scholarship membership and other program support.
Individuals, families or businesses interested in supporting the YMCA Annual Campaign at a higher level are able to donate at a banner level. Donations of $750 receive a bronze banner. A $1,500 contribution receives a silver banner, and donations of $5,000 or more earn a gold level banner. The banners, which display the contributor or business name, are hung throughout the YMCA for the entire year.
“The mission of the YMCA goes unfulfilled without the continued backing of our Annual Campaign donors,” Ringel said. “And for that, we couldn’t be more thankful.”
