Little Sparks Child Care Center

Year Round Child Care

Monday-Friday, 7 am-5 p.m. at the YMCA Child Care Center.

Systems Control Little Sparks Child Care Center programming is geared to the individual needs of children. Our goal is to provide well-rounded experiences and enhance your child’s development through play and by introducing them to concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The essential component of our child care program is staff. Center staff are trained in growth and development and set age-appropriate expectations. By guiding and directing children with warmth, concern, acceptance, approval and respect, children develop a strong and positive concept of themselves and the world around them. A welcoming and responsive atmosphere is provided to foster a sense of trust and autonomy, as well as to encourage cooperation, communication and respect for others.

FINANCIAL AID: The YMCA is firmly committed to access for all, regardless of family financial situations. The amount of financial assistance awarded each year is dependent on the amount of fundraising and donations received each year through the YMCA Annual Campaign and other fundraising events. We ask the families to apply to Michigan Department of Health and Human Services at (231) 941-3900 or visit http://bit.ly/childcareassistance. If families do not qualify, a financial assistance application may be completed with a copy of the denial letter. YMCA scholarship forms must be fully completed with all information included. Allow a maximum of three weeks for processing. All fees apply as normal until the application has been reviewed and approved. All scholarships are subject to availability of funds.
